Adobe Premiere Pro CC is a professional video editing software for Windows and Mac. It's the latest version of Adobe’s signature video creation, finishing, and streaming toolset that includes everything you need to create stunning videos in all formats. Premiere Pro offers smart editing tools with fast performance to support an intuitive work flow. The intuitive user interface eliminates clutter and emphasizes previewing, sequencing clips for instant playback, and accessing the most frequently used functions. Tools for precise editing include a full-screen viewer, keyboard commands, and a dedicated track for everything from trimming clips to applying effects. Premiere Pro began as an add-on for Adobe Systems' flagship product, the Premiere graphics editor. In 1990, Adobe released Premiere Plus, which included keyframe animation and basic video editing features. In 1996, Premiere Plus was replaced with Adobe Premier. Premier was split into four products: Adobe Premiere Pro (video editing and compositing), Adobe Media Encoder (for encoding and compression), Adobe OnLocation (for chromakey green screen effects), and Premiere Elements (a stripped down version of the main suite). Premiere Pro was offered as a single product combining all the features of its sibling programs. Premiere also quickly became popular among high-end television producers and videographers. Adobe released version 14 of Premiere Pro on June 7, 2013. The new release included support for target export resolutions of 4K and UltraHD (3840x2160) and stereoscopic 3D editing, along with an improved Mercury Playback Engine that uses GPU acceleration to support real-time playback on high-resolution media (4K and higher). On December 13, 2014 Adobe released version 14. 0.1, which introduced Premiere Rush CC, an iPad app for intuitive video editing. This release included improved integration with other Adobe applications, including the ability to send timeline cuts directly to Adobe Photoshop CC or Adobe Illustrator CC via Creative Cloud Libraries. On June 2, 2015, Adobe released version 14.1, adding support for the Intel Iris Pro graphics processor found in Apple Macintosh computers based on the Haswell microarchitecture, as well as support for color management in Open ColorIO LUTs. On March 16, 2018 Adobe released version 15. 0. Premiere Pro 15.0 added high-dynamic-range (HDR) video editing and playback on Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. Premiere Pro also added native support for the Canon Cinema RAW Light format used in the Canon C200 digital cinema video camera. On December 12, 2018 Adobe released version 15.1 adding a host of new features for accessibility and productivity enhancements to stabilize a more streamlined workflow across all of Adobe’s applications for digital video and audio professionals. Expansion Packs have been periodically released with newer features by the developers themselves. Premiere Pro was originally developed for Mac OS by John Norling. eccc085e13
